Romance! Sex! Disguises! Surprises! …and a full moon on Halloween night! These are a few of the elements that make up TAM LIN, a new Halloween comedy by Nancy McClernan. After a successful engagement last Fall, the Halloween tradition continues when TAM LIN returns to The Producer’ Club II Theatre (616 Ninth Ave.) for a limited engagement October 21st – 30th. Based on the classic Scottish legend, TAM LIN is a rarity among the world’s great fairy tales – it has not yet been stripped of its adult sensibilities by children's books or animated film adaptations. It tells the story of a nobleman’s strong-willed daughter, Janet, and her effort to save her true love, Tam Lin, from the advances of the lascivious Queen of the Fairies. Passions flare, fairies frolic, curses are cast and lovers are chased through the forest as the clock strikes midnight on Halloween. Directed by Stephen Riscica, TAM LIN features Troy Acree, Delia Baseman, Mike Durell, Talaura Harms, Vielka Kelly, Nick Lowe, Skid Maher, Josh Stein-Sapir, Randi Sobol and Michael Whitney. The set design is by Cemre Durosoy; costume design by Carla Gant, lighting design by Ben Tronnier, sound design by Rich Baker, mask design by Barry Weil. Tam Lin is presented by Mergatroyd Productions. TAM LIN will play 10 performances only: October 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 at 8:00PM. Matinees on October 24th and 31st at 3:00PM. TAM LIN will play at The Producer’ Club II Theatre, 616 Ninth Ave (between 43rd and 44th Streets). Via Subway, take the 1/9/2/3 or A/C/E trains to 42nd Street. All tickets are $20.
